On November 12th, 2018 Nautique revealed a surprise for the boating world when they released the brand new 2019 Nautique 200 during their annual Dealer Meeting in sunny Orlando Florida. Lucky enough for us, two of our Nautique specialists from Seager Marine were in attendance to get a first-hand look at the all new multi-sport boat. Here is a little recap of what we witnessed and learned in our time around this new product from Nautique.

The 2019 Nautique 200 is a re-vamped version of the classic Ski Nautique 200, which over the years has set 25 world records between the three major Water Ski disciplines. Specs on the boat follow:

Length: 20’

Width (Beam): 95”

Draft: 22”

Dry Weight: 3300 LBS or 3400 LBS with tower option

Fuel Capacity: 27 gal

Person Capacity: 9 Person/ 1450 LBS

HP: 400

There were a few major features we noticed that set the new Nautique 200 apart from its origins with the Ski 200. Under the center engine hatch to start, is a PCM ZR4 providing 400 HP with 400 ft-lb of torque. The ZR4 contributes to the thorough bread sports boat feel, providing plenty of power to pull your Water Skiers and Wakeboarders while giving an incredibly smooth driving experience.  Secondly, the hull design of the Nautique 200 has been reinvented to contribute to the best ski wake in the industry, by filling in the trough of the wake for smooth transitions while simultaneously minimizing spray coming off the boat. In addition to the improved running surfaces of the hull, this Nautique 200 comes with an automated hydro gate system. The hydro gate helps the boat get up on plane quick with an auto-plane function, as well as helping to shape perfect ski wakes by filling the trough when down for a smooth transition. When the hydro gate is in the up position, the boat creates a sharper and firmer wake for trick skiing.

Overall, we were pretty impressed with the exterior look of the new Nautique 200, as well and the technology that goes into the behind boat product, but just as remarkable is the “form, follow, and function” that brings together the boats interior. Moving from the swim platform to the bow, you can tell the boat is designed to put the skier first. Notable features that we enjoyed seeing include bow to transom SeaDek walkthrough capabilities, easy Ski storage under the passenger seat, a well recessed dash for perfect sight while driving, swim platform grab handle, bolstered helm seat, center gas fill… well we like a lot of features, which is why I would recommend scrolling through the photos below, and checking out the product walk through at nautique.com
